What a week! This year’s fishing
derby was full of exiting catches, fun prizes and big winners! First off, thank
you to everyone who came out and enjoyed our beautiful state park. Thank you
all so much for spending time with your friends and family in the great
outdoors and supporting our event. The annual fishing derby is made possible by
everyone who purchases a derby ticket or other raffle ticket and all our
amazing sponsors.
I’m happy to announce that we had
a total of 40 tagged fish caught. There were around 730 tickets purchased for
the fishing derby. The following table shows winners from the raffle drawings:

A big highlight of this week was
the Kid’s Fishing Derby on Free Fishing Day. Kids would catch a fish, run up to
the weighing station, weigh their fish and run back to the water in a fit of
giggles and smiles. Here are a few pictures of all the fun we had:
Smiling with a real fish while painting the
mold
Making fish printing masterpieces
Grand Prize winner grins from ear to ear with
new fly fishing rod
Father and son pose with new Cars fishing
pole
Winner with a backpack sponsored by the
Sierra Club
(also included was a magazine subscription)
All smiles with a new fishing pole
Small kid, big winner!
